What is Music Therapy?

Music therapy is when a board-certified music therapist uses individualized musical interventions to support clients in reaching their full potential.

Who can Music Therapy help?

Music Therapy is used at the very beginning of life up until end-of life. Music therapists work with newborns, assist with the birthing process, and can also support also support and bereavement in hospice, home or hospital. Board certified music therapists work with: newborns with developmental delay or medical problems, toddlers with special needs, kids with autism or disorders, kids and adults in hospitals and/or receiving chemotherapy for cancer treatment, emergency rooms, adults with special needs, memory care including Alzheimer's, stroke recover, and more. Music therapy can be done 1-on-1 or in groups. It can take place at home, clinics, hospitals, Veteran’s facilities, psychiatric facilities, care homes, schools, and more.

Share Music Therapy is one of a handful of small, private music therapy practices in the Bay Area of San Francisco. We service in the home and in facilities, online and in-person.
